experienced unforgettable moments on the Abuela or have
expressed interest in traveling with our Abuela. If you no
longer wish to receive such updates in the future, please just

What a year!
We had the pleasure of meeting many wonderful people and
gaining valuable experiences. It brings us great joy and is our
motivation to see your shining eyes after you've spent a
beautiful time on our beloved Abuela.
Here are some exciting improvements we've made on board the
Abuela:

More power on board: We have installed
numerous additional sockets and charging options.
Especially handy is the new charging option at the helm, so
you can charge your phone even while driving if you
navigate with an app.

Cooling: A cool box with a 12V connection
is now constantly on board to keep your drinks nice and
cool. For those who need more cooling space, there is the
option to bring a second box from home and connect it there
as well.

Lighting: In the salon, we have installed
an LED strip for cozier evenings. It is currently
controllable via Siri, but we are working on integrating a
switch for operation soon.

Better internet: Since I often work from
aboard, a reliable internet connection was particularly
important to me. We have installed a reinforcing external
antenna to ensure good internet everywhere on the Abuela.
If we are not satisfied with it, we are considering
purchasing a Starlink system at the end of the season.

Tent: After some seams had come loose, we
sent the tent to the manufacturer. It was not only repaired
but also cleaned and newly impregnated, so it now looks
like new.

Side windows at the helm: Unfortunately,
while the tent was not mounted, the side windows at the
helm were damaged by the wind. We are still coordinating
with the insurance, but the new windows are already
ordered. We hope they will be delivered in January and that
the paint scratches will also be repaired before the start
of the season.

Outdoor shower and SUP: For the bathing
season, we have purchased an outdoor shower with hot water
and an optionally bookable SUP - perfect for water sports
fans!

Further improvements: We replaced the old
radio antenna, placed a new high chair next to the helm
chair, and stabilized the table on the aft deck, so it no
longer wobbles.

Black Friday deal: A new fully automatic
coffee machine! Now there's delicious coffee on board
without all the capsule trash.
And a few more minor things that I don't consider particularly
noteworthy at this point.
We have many ideas for the coming season and look forward to
implementing them step by step. We are excited to see the new
faces we will welcome in 2024 and hope to see some of you on
board again.
